I don't believe in wasting energy. Certainly not in the gym, not in my beauty routine and definitely not in my food intake! Everything I do is about the most bang for my metabolic BUCK !
I don't believe in wasting energy. Certainly not in the gym, not in my beauty routine and definitely not in my food intake! Everything I do is about the most bang for my metabolic BUCK ! I already wrote the basics of dos and don’s for metabolic support and you can read that article here.
And lately? I’ve been gaining strength, definition, and energy without protein powders, without tracking macros and without overtraining (and I am getting 10000x better results. Since discovering more and more about thyroid and metabolic health I am discoing many workout routines are actually damaging the body more that benefitting it! My next post will be on my actual routine to show you ways to optimize when in the gym. However today we are focusing on what I intake to have max results within minimal effort.
Pre-workout BAYBEE:
I work out three times a week in the morning that is the most ideal time for me and not more than that! I am feeling into a Monday, Wednesday and Friday!
I never go in fasted and never go sleep deprived!! I give my body the ancestral raw materials it needs to effectively burn fat and it has 40g-60g of protein. It makes me sooooo energized!
Gelatin: High in glycine which lowers cortisol, its rich in collagen protein, helps to heal the gut lining, supports fascia, joints and skin. Balances blood sugar and boosts recovery!
Raw Milk: Super antioxidant! The ultimate metabolic fuel that helps to build muscle, support thyroid, and boost glutathione production.
Ceremonial Cacao: enhances circulation, mood, and energy with magnesium and theobromine. It lifts dopamine without spiking cortisol. Some of my favorites include Mushroom Cacao Vibrant Vitality Cacao Tantric Rose Cacao King Cacao
Raw Honey: Replenishes liver glycogen, blunts stress hormones, and supplies a steady energy. It is crucial for hormonal and thyroid health.
Raw Egg Yolk: 6g protein and easily digestible
Meshima – Known for skin and cellular protection.
Reishi – Adaptogenic, calming, and supports immune modulation and inflammation of the brain.
Cordyceps Militaris – Enhances stamina, oxygen uptake, and recovery.
Lion’s Mane – Brain-boosting nootropic, supports nerve growth.
Tremella – Called “the beauty mushroom,” supports hydration and skin glow. and has high vitamin D potency.
Maitake – Supports metabolic balance and immune resilience.
Dragons Blood: Resin packed with antioxidants that protect against oxidative stress and support wound repair and cellular integrity.
Studies show that dragon’s blood can help regenerate collagen and tissue.
Natural superfood to support blood health and cognition.
Supports the skin, blood, and gut flora.
May support alleviation of H pylori and inflammation.
Highest Antioxidant superfood on the planet! Dragons Blood has over 3 million antioxidants on the orac value! Supports skin health and inflammation.
Pearl Powder: A sacred beauty tonic rich in minerals, amino acids, magnesium and calcium. Promotes skin luminosity, hair and nail length & strength, eye health, calmness, and mineralization.
Bioavailable magnesium for better sleep. So taking this with collagen is a good combination for better rest, brain function, sleep, and glutathione levels.
Pearl also contains trace elements like sodium, manganese, selenium, and copper.
Scientists have found that the DNA in the creation of the pearl is nearly identical to the part of human DNA that is responsible for the regulation of calcium metabolism in the human body
Creatine: Assists in gaining lean muscle mass
Athletic performance improvement
Energy production and metabolic enhancement
Development of follicular fluid, fetal tissue, and placenta
Sperm health & male fertility improvement
Dopamine activation
Enhances cognitive performance
Reduces lipid peroxidation in the brain
Pro-GABA / protects from glutamate excitotoxicity
Essential for reproductive tissue metabolism
Maintains intracellular ATP & pH balance
May reduce sarcopenia and frailty in the elderly
Taurine: An amino acid that supports mitochondrial health, liver detoxification, and heart function.
Lifespan and Healthspan increase
Neuroprotection (antioxidant and anti-pollutant)
Anti-anxiety & anti-stress
Liver health
Bile formation
Blood sugar regulation
Blood pressure regulation
Cholesterol-lowering
Protective against radiation
Electrolyte balance (ion transport)
GABA secretion supporting
Hormone optimization (lower estrogen dominance, increased T and testicular function in men, reduction of PCOS in women)
Eye Health
Cell membrane stability (ie it helps to structure our cellular water internally)
Enhanced redox & NAD+ levels (ie it gives electrons to oxidized/damaged constituents in our body)
May combat hair loss
During the Workout Hydration
Spring water, Lemon, Salt (sodium), and Succanat / Cream of Tartar (potassium)
My Post Workout
As soon as I get back I make this!
(sometimes I even bring it along for hydration!)
2 cups of raw milk: Raw milk is one of the only Whole Foods that naturally combines enough leucine (to flip muscle growth) with natural sugars (to spike insulin and deliver the messages!) This combo triggers muscle protein synthesis. Ray Peat called it metabolic superfood for a reason! it builds muscle, balances hormones, and supports the thyroid!
Leucine is your ignition Switch!
This is the only amino acid that directly activates the mTOR pathway which directly controls muscle protein synthesis! (MPS)
Without Leucine (around 2-3g) your body will. not begin building muscle even if other amino acids are present! Research indicates that small dose of leucine maximally stimulate MPS. This underscores leucine's role as a critical trigger for initiating muscle-building processes. Without insulin the leucine signal is weaker and your body may use those amino acids for energy instead of muscle growth.
Insulin The delivery system:
You need insulin to deliver/ shuttle amino acids (like Leucine) into muscle cells.
Carbs such as the raw milk and natural sugars maple or raw succanat spike insulin just enough to open those doors!
