And lately? I’ve been gaining strength, definition, and energy without protein powders, without tracking macros and without overtraining (and I am getting 10000x better results. Since discovering more and more about thyroid and metabolic health I am discoing many workout routines are actually damaging the body more that benefitting it! My next post will be on my actual routine to show you ways to optimize when in the gym. However today we are focusing on what I intake to have max results within minimal effort.

Pre-workout BAYBEE:

I work out three times a week in the morning that is the most ideal time for me and not more than that! I am feeling into a Monday, Wednesday and Friday!

I never go in fasted and never go sleep deprived!! I give my body the ancestral raw materials it needs to effectively burn fat and it has 40g-60g of protein. It makes me sooooo energized!

Gelatin: High in glycine which lowers cortisol, its rich in collagen protein, helps to heal the gut lining, supports fascia, joints and skin. Balances blood sugar and boosts recovery!

Raw Milk: Super antioxidant! The ultimate metabolic fuel that helps to build muscle, support thyroid, and boost glutathione production.

Ceremonial Cacao: enhances circulation, mood, and energy with magnesium and theobromine. It lifts dopamine without spiking cortisol. Some of my favorites include Mushroom Cacao Vibrant Vitality Cacao Tantric Rose Cacao King Cacao

My Post Workout

As soon as I get back I make this!

(sometimes I even bring it along for hydration!)

  1. 2 cups of raw milk: Raw milk is one of the only Whole Foods that naturally combines enough leucine (to flip muscle growth) with natural sugars (to spike insulin and deliver the messages!) This combo triggers muscle protein synthesis. Ray Peat called it metabolic superfood for a reason! it builds muscle, balances hormones, and supports the thyroid!

  2. Leucine is your ignition Switch!

    1. This is the only amino acid that directly activates the mTOR pathway which directly controls muscle protein synthesis! (MPS)

    2. Without Leucine (around 2-3g) your body will. not begin building muscle even if other amino acids are present! Research indicates that small dose of leucine maximally stimulate MPS. This underscores leucine's role as a critical trigger for initiating muscle-building processes. Without insulin the leucine signal is weaker and your body may use those amino acids for energy instead of muscle growth.

  3. Insulin The delivery system:

    1. You need insulin to deliver/ shuttle amino acids (like Leucine) into muscle cells.

    2. Carbs such as the raw milk and natural sugars maple or raw succanat spike insulin just enough to open those doors!

    3. Leucine, a branched-chain amino acid, is uniquely potent in activating the mechanistic target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1), a central regulator of protein synthesis in skeletal muscle.

    4. Studies have demonstrated that leucine supplementation increases the phosphorylation of mTOR and its downstream targets, leading to enhanced protein synthesis and muscle growth.

    5. Insulin is essential for promoting amino acid uptake into muscle cells, thereby supporting MPS. While leucine can independently activate mTORC1, the presence of insulin enhances this effect by facilitating the transport of amino acids into muscle tissue

    6. Leucine stimulates protein synthesis in skeletal muscle of neonatal pigs by enhancing mTORC1 activation
